SYDNEY M. PERTL

Sydney is a classical realist figure and portrait artist, who trained in the style of the old masters at the Gage Academy of Art and received her degree in Fine Art from Lawrence University. While she works in many different mediums, from oil paints to sculpture to mural work, charcoal and chalk are her favorite because they can quickly capture the emotion, likeness, and mystery of the models. Her work has been shown in galleries in Seattle and across the US.

When she's not busy in the studio, she's hard at work arranging art exhibits, dance performances, and educational experiences of all kinds through the nonprofit she co-chairs called Damfino Arts (aka SeaPertl Productions). Founded to connect local artists with art lovers, she strongly believes that the best way to empower and enrich the Seattle area arts community is through visibility, interconnection, and cross collaboration. We can empower each other through community!
